You will lead contemporary teaching and develop your teaching excellence through immersion into a co-designed curriculum with an explicit Indigenous focus, supported by professional development opportunities.
Our commitment is to excellence. Numerous opportunities exist for your collaboration with research programs conducted through the University, the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) and the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI).
Our focus on preparing our staff for future progression is exemplified by our strong culture of our support. We will create time for you to build your research, as well as the opportunity to support future promotion applications by gaining research supervision experience.
We are investing in the future through the development of the Health Education Research Building (HERB) at our Callaghan campus, involving contemporary facilities for nursing and midwifery including simulation labs and a mix of teaching spaces.
You can leverage the strong links with academics and industry partners at our two teaching campuses, in addition to local health services connections with Hunter New England, Central Coast and Mid North Coast LHDs and other industry partners.
In recognition of the importance of stability for career and personal development, all of these positions are offered on a continuing (permanent) basis.
Being responsive to the needs of our staff and supporting life balance is key to individual success and wellbeing, so a range of flexible working options are available that include part-time arrangements and the ability to work from different locations.
As a breastfeeding friendly workplace we offer a range of benefits to help you with your family responsibilities including offer carer's leave, life leave, parental and surrogacy leave, and partner's leave.
A move to Newcastle or the Central Coast offers you the choice to live in the city, by the sea or near bushland - the region offers a wonderful place for your family to grow and the opportunity to establish a meaningful life/work balance.
