Earthmoving Machine Operator (GES_KW_Vic)

Overview

We are seeking experienced Machine Operators to work across earthmoving and civil construction operations.

You will play a key role in operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently, contributing to earthworks, grading, loading, and site preparation while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

What you'll do

●        Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures

●        Efficiently operate graders to achieve precise grading on civil construction projects, including final trim and GPS-controlled work

●        Carry out earthmoving, grading, loading, and site preparation tasks

●        Conduct daily pre-start checks and perform basic equipment maintenance

●        Transport machinery to and from site as required

●        Work closely with site supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines

●        Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental standards

●        Report hazards, incidents, or equipment faults promptly

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience operating earthmoving equipment, particularly graders

• Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations

• Proven experience operating excavators, graders, skid steers, and loaders

• Demonstrated expertise in final trim grading and use of GPS-guided grading systems

• Current plant tickets / licences for relevant machinery

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements

• Experience in loading, securing, and transporting machinery to and from site (highly regarded)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within site teams

• Strong communication skills, reliability, and commitment to quality outcomes
