Leading Hand / Site Supervisor (GES_KW_Vic)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Leading Hand/Site Supervisor to support the delivery of civil construction projects across Victoria.

This role is essential in overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring the successful completion of works such as subdivisions and earthworks.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge and the ability to balance effective supervision with hands-on support to keep projects running smoothly.

What you'll do

• Supervise, lead, and support site teams to ensure project milestones are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards

• Coordinate daily site activities, plant, materials, equipment, and subcontractors in line with project timelines

• Interpret and implement construction plans, specifications, and quality requirements

• Ensure full compliance with WHS regulations, environmental management plans, and site safety procedures

• Monitor daily progress, resources, and potential risks, providing accurate reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders

• Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain communication and resolve issues promptly

• Maintain accurate site documentation, quality control records, and safety reporting

• Guide, mentor, and support team members while fostering a positive and productive work culture

• Assist with hands-on tasks when required to keep workflow and project delivery on track

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience supervising civil construction projects, particularly subdivisions, earthworks, and civil infrastructure

• Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Site Supervisor coordinating teams, plant, materials, and subcontractors

• Strong ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, specifications, and quality requirements

• Thorough understanding of Australian construction standards, WHS legislation, and environmental requirements

• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills with high attention to detail

• Experience with quality assurance systems, site documentation, and compliance reporting

• Current White Card and valid Australian driver’s licence (additional tickets highly regarded)

• Must be currently based in Australia with unrestricted work rights
